1. I saw Suzy Hoover’s (Season 2 of Biggest Loser) post about a 3,000 sit-up challenge in September, and I decided to give it a try. That will be something easy to do in the Bahamas.
2. This weather has totally messed with my schedule. Yesterday was a “rest” day, and I ate some extra carbs and went to bed early in anticipation of getting my 14-mile run done this morning.
3. I set my alarm for 4:05 am, and Cliff and I woke up to a crazy storm at 3:50. Running in the rain would have been nice, but the lightening was a little freaky.
4. So the run has been postponed until Friday morning. I’ll hit the gym during my lunch break for some weights and cardio.
5. I’m getting my hair cut and highlighted at Shelton’s this afternoon at 3:45.
6. I’m also treating myself to a pedicure (or, as Gus would say, pawdicure) after my run on Friday. I thought I’d do everyone in the Bahamas a favor by giving my nasty runner’s feet a little TLC.
7. Just a few more days and we’ll be relaxing on the beach in THE BAHAMAS!
8. I have one day in between vacation and a (work) trip to El Paso. Busy, Busy!
9. Netflix is making me mad. All four TV shows that I want to watch had a wait, so we ended up with disc 1, season 1 of Jersey Shore. I indulged yesterday (before Cliff got home from work).
10. We saw the new Will Ferrell movie (“The Other Guys”) last weekend. I appreciate an accountant who makes me laugh, so it wasn’t horrible. It just wasn’t one of his best. And was that rumor about Mark Wahlberg having three nipples really true? Because I think about that every time I see one of Marky Mark’s movies.
11. I’ve lost a few pounds, and I’m staying pretty consistent with my weights, especially considering I haven’t really been depriving myself. I’m sure I can undo all of the progress with 10 days in the Bahamas though.
12. So apparently my cousin’s cousin (yeah, I realize this sounds like a stretch) is on the next season of Hell’s Kitchen. I do not know her personally, but now we’re Facebook friends, and maybe she’ll let us eat for free at her restaurant when she wins ;)
13. Speaking of reality TV, we’re sucked into Big Brother (and at this point, I can’t really decide if I want Lane, Britney, or Ragan to win) and I’m pretty fond of Master Chef (even though there are obnoxious commercial break suspense moments like Hell’s Kitchen).
(Bonus) 14. GusGus has a Facebook page now, and he wants you to friend him!
