Another Family Weekend

My mom and dad came to Fort Worth to visit the pups (and maybe me and Cliff) during Labor Day weekend.  We tried a new spot, Brownstone, for dinner on Friday night.  My inner fat girl loved the bacon cheddar polenta and the crawfish mac.  My only complaint about the restaurant is that it's super loud.  It would be a good spot to meet friends for happy hour, but I wouldn't do a nice dinner there again (unless I had a megaphone... and maybe a heaping spoonful of bacon cheddar polenta).

On Saturday we went to Taverna for brunch.  After a Bloody Mary, a bellini, and two mimosas, I still made it out of there in one piece (with a smoked salmon bagel in my belly).  After brunch my mom and I got a spa pedicure and then ran a few errands.  Bright orange toes, which looked even classier with my leopard bikini top on Sunday...

 
For dinner we went to Joe T's since my dad had never been and my mom had only dined inside (how does that happen?).  Obviously we might have consumed a few too many margaritas, because havoc with "RussRuss" ensued (poor GusGus)...

 

Cliff's family came over for a pool party on Sunday.  We grilled some burgers and hot dogs, and GusGus shared his pool with the humans.  Somehow we still worked in a trip to Boo Ray's for dinner that night.  The dogs crashed after a day full of activities.

We enjoyed brunch at Cafe Brazil on Monday, and I wanted to steal these pictures:

It was a great weekend... just really hard to get back to the grind this morning!
