1. Portobello, fontina, arugula, and roasted tomato panini at Toast. The goat cheese and honey crostini rocked my socks.
2. Banana Bread beer and Double Chocolate beer. I had the genius thought to mix it, but the thought quickly passed and never amounted to much. Also munched on banana bread and banana chips... it was a banana kind of day.

3. Hangin' out on the front porch. Cute pic. Cute front porch.

4. Friday night dinner at Dos Perros. Chile Relleno... vegetable- and cheese-stuffed pepper with black bean puree.
5. Saturday morning run with Kate and her friend, Michelle, around the Duke campus. I really wish there were shade trees and front porches all over Texas.
6. Saturday afternoon breakfast burger from the Only Burger truck. Beef patty, fried egg, fried green tomato, and pimento cheese. A little bit of heaven in a greasy bun.

7. We stopped at the Scrap Exchange, and there was lots of neat stuff to buy. I got a cute little necklace (it was hard to choose between that and the used medical equipment - like IVs).
8. The Saxapahaw General Store. This was awesome. Their blog says they "provide as much local food as possible while also supporting other sustainable production methods." I had a goat (as in meat, not cheese) burger and goat cheese lasagna. The entrees were only $5.99, so I figured I'd splurge and get two (portion control has never been my strong suit).
9. I washed dinner down with an awesome 11.2% alcohol apple cider beer. Delish.
10. Whitney's robot show. How often can you say you spent your Saturday night at a robot play? Not very often. Cool experience.
Feeling the robotic ambiance:

Robot crush (or trying to get the robot a little tipsy on a Miller Lite tall boy?):

11. Arm wrestling contests. I would post pictures, but they were not the most flattering shots of me. My blog, my rules. No double chin pics.
12. Human bench pressing and spotting. Melissa benched Whitney. If I ever start to mouth-off at a bar, I'm going to make sure Melissa is there. She'll have my back.

13. Melissa, Kate, and I stopped at Kate's parents' house for a visit on the way to the airport on Sunday. It was fun to catch up with her family, and we got to eat again ;)
