Lots of cleansing, not much running.

I started the cleanse on Monday, and I have been feeling like death off-and-on all week. The death pinnacle was Monday night - Wednesday morning. Here it is Friday, and I'm finally starting to feel a bit normal. My workouts (or lack thereof) have suffered. Monday was fine since the weekend fueled me on the morning swim (4,000 yards) and afternoon cardio (50 minutes). I couldn't workout at all on Tuesday and Wednesday, and I rode the stationary bike for 50 minutes yesterday at lunch while I read my book (not a very strenuous workout). I've lost 10.5 pounds, and I'm only 6 pounds over my lightest pre-wedding weight. This is quite exciting, seeing as I have to get back in a bikini in a week (spontaneous trip to Mexico!). Hopefully the weight doesn't pile right back on as soon as I start incorporating meat, dairy, wheat, etc. back into my diet, but we'll see.

I ran 15.25 miles on the Trinity Trail last Saturday with Stacy and her dogs. Her dogs made it look so easy. I ran the first 10 miles in 10-minute pace, but then I started hurting and averaged 10:40 pace, for a total average of 10:15 (2:36:18 total time). I was planning on running 17 miles this Saturday, but if I continue with the cleanse, I might have to rethink that. Maybe 10 miles on Saturday and 10 miles on Sunday? I did that before the White Rock Marathon, and I thought the semi-long back-to-back runs improved my fitness. I need to figure something out because that 50K will be here before I know it (February 27).
