Sleepy, Sleepy, Tired

I was supposed to go to boot camp this morning, but that didn't happen. I slept so great in my dark, quiet, hotel room last week. Now that I'm back home, I've had trouble sleeping (probably with everything that has been going on). The night before last was rough, and then I woke up at 4:15 (which was really 3:15 despite what they tell you) to swim. Fortunately last night I slept better, but 5:40 came entirely too early today.

I had a pretty good workout day yesterday. I did the masters practice in the morning - 4500 yards, 1 hour and 20 minutes. The main set was 3 x 300's, 3 x 200's, and 4 x 100's pull @ 1:30 per 100. I got down to 1:10's on the 100's and I was getting after it (so that was a little concerning because when I'm in shape, I can get down to 1:06 or 1:07). The new girl who swam for Pepperdine is kicking my butt. It is good for me though, and she is a really nice girl. Swimming once a week is just enough to remind me how out of (swimming) shape I really am. The weird part is, I would think that losing weight and working out a lot (doing a variety of different things) would translate into some sort of improvement in SOMETHING. But even my running is slow. I was faster when I was 12 pounds heavier. What the heck? And I've had my body fat tested, so I know I haven't lost muscle (just fat). Any ways, I digress. I also got a lunch workout in... 46 minutes of arms (with a little ab work thrown in). Oh, I do have a positive thing to say. I have noticed a difference in my arms... they have become a little more toned.

Our computer is going nuts. I think there is a virus or something on it that's making it act up. It freezes often, and it's hard to reboot it (it has a hard time finding the operating system). We've tried running the Norton Scan, but that freezes the computer too. The Norton software is from 2005, so maybe we need an updated disc. I was in a panic last night, because I realized all of my wedding stuff (guest lists, addresses, etc.) is on the computer and I hadn't backed it up. So I immediately sent myself an email with those files.

I had a dentist appointment yesterday at 2:00, so I had a short work day. I coached in the evening, and I had 23 kids at practice. I gave them 40 x 25's @ :30 with fins. Most of them did all freestyle and one lane did 4 fly/4 free. I realized I called out "(Group #), Ready Go!" 200 times. That was a tough workout for me! :) Cliff made some whole grain pasta with chicken last night, and we spent most of the evening battling our computer (well, until I went to the other room to watch The City).

I scanned my pictures with Andrew, and this one was my favorite...
