I started feeling bad last night when I got home from coaching. Having 30 kids in 3 lanes was probably enough to do it! I felt worse as the night went on, and I went to bed shivering with my sweatshirt, flannel pants, and heavy sock slippers on. I can't tell if I have the flu or if the congestion is just making me queasy. Either way, I made the decision to call in sick today and get some rest.
I think I overdid it a bit these past two days. I ended up doing the kickboxing class and then 18 minutes of weights yesterday during my lunch break (after running 4.35 miles in the morning). Now I'm feeling a ping in my left shin (that's the one that was bothering me). So hopefully if I use today as a rest day, stick to cardio and weights tomorrow (and lay off the running), I will be okay to run longer on Saturday. I'm crossing my fingers that I get healthy and that my shin feels better!
Oh, I finally got around to attempting to book reservations for Valentine's Day. We wanted to go to Texas de Brazil, but they only had reservations around 12-2 and then after 10 pm. So we decided that we're going to hit up Central Market and make an awesome dinner! I am already looking forward to the Valentine's Day three-day weekend (hooray President's Day)!
