Gettin' it done.

Yesterday I did 13 minutes of weights (arms), 30 minutes on the elliptical machine, and a short (1700-yard, 27-minute) swim workout.

Swim Workout:
500 free, 500 kick with fins
7 x 50’s fly, fly/back, back, back/breast, breast, breast/free, free @ :50
6 x 50’s freestyle pulling, breathing 7 @ :50
50 easy

This morning GusGus woke me up early (3:30 am) for the FOURTH day in a row. Grrr. On a happy note, I finally broke 155 (weighed in at 154.5). I got some stuff done on the computer and did a set of 100 push-ups and 250 crunches to kill some time before swim practice. I told myself that I would go swim and I could get out early (trying to talk myself into going). Fortunately I had a good workout and stuck with it.

Warm-up: 500 kick with fins, 300 free, 100 kick, 300 pull, 200 kick
8 x 25’s free (breathing 3-5-7-9 by 25’s) @ :30
3 x 300’s pull (breathe 5 on every 4th length), descend to 80% @ 4:30 (3:46 on #3)
6 x 75’s free (breathing 7-5-3 by 25’s) @ 1:15
3 x 300’s 200 free/50 back/50 breast, descend to 90% @ 5:15 (4:04 on #3)
6 x 75’s free (breathing 3-5-7 by 25’s) @ 1:15
200 warm-down
Total: 4,500 yards, 1:22:12

My lunch workout was 20 minutes on the elliptical and 25 minutes on the stationary bike, so I got in over 2 hours of exercise today. I am so tired and sore… can’t wait for that massage!

So far I’m 3 for 3 on my bracket, although it has me worried that I’m the only person who picked Duke to win the whole thing. But in typical chick fashion, I know nothing about basketball and base my decisions off things like my Pac-10 bias.
