Night out at the Dub

We had a good time last night. Cliff and I met his sister (Leah) at Dublin Square shortly before 5:00. It was already pretty busy, and we got a booth on the crappier side of the bar. I was smarter this time around. I remembered getting ripped off on the green beer last year, so I went with $3 rum 'n diets. I was pretty good about the food consumption. I totally passed on the cheese fries and ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. But then I saw Cliff's nachos and I had to eat some... mmm, so good. They were made with thin (real) potatoes instead of the crappy processed chips. I'm not a huge nacho fan, but they were probably the best nachos I've ever had. My inner fat girl was in heaven. By the time we left at 9:00, the place (both inside & outside in the gated off parking lot) was PACKED.

Oh, kind of a cool chance encounter last night (that sounds a lot more fun than it really was). I met a girl about my age who got a pacemaker when she was 11 years old. So we were exchanging heart/surgery stories (while drinking... hmmm, ironic?). I felt kind of like an ahole for correcting her when she said she ran the "Cowtown Marathon" when she really did the 5K.
